First, make a distinction: is an existing treatment being ended, or does a provider refuse to start new treatment? Those are not the same legal situations.
A treatment agreement cannot simply be ended unilaterally. There must be compelling reasons and the provider must follow a careful procedure. In very urgent circumstances, immediate termination may sometimes be the issue.
